In short: Shiyin has no server and no user accounts. Everything you record stays on your own device, and we cannot see it. The only exception is when you deliberately export or share something yourself — then you choose where it goes.
None. Shiyin does not collect, store on any server, or transmit any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no login, and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information. It contains no networking code at all.
Everything you record in Shiyin — meals, ingredients, symptoms, bowel movements, daily context, menstrual cycle records, medications, questionnaire scores, custom foods and recipes — is stored only on your own device, in the app's local database. We, the developer, cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it. There is no cloud server involved.
If you delete the app, that data is removed with it. We have no copy and cannot restore it for you.
Shiyin can optionally read data from Apple Health so that you do not have to enter it by hand. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without it, and you are asked for permission before anything is read.
Shiyin only reads from Apple Health. It never writes to it. With your permission, it may read:

Shiyin lets you export your own records. Every export is started by you and uses the standard iOS share sheet, so you choose the destination:
These files are generated on your device, and we never receive them automatically. Once you send a file somewhere — email, a messaging app, cloud storage, a printer — it is handled by that service under that service's own terms and is no longer covered by this policy. Please bear in mind that these files contain health-related information about you.
If you choose to email us a food-database correction, we will of course receive whatever you put in that email. We use it only to fix the ingredient data, and for nothing else.
If you create a testing plan or enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated entirely on your device and involve no server. No data is sent to us or to any third party. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in your device's system settings.
Shiyin uses no third-party services. There is no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no external software development kits (SDKs) of any kind. Nothing in the app tracks your behaviour or sends information to outside companies.
Shiyin is a record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it gives no medical or medication advice. Any patterns it shows you are statistical associations within your own records — an association is not proof of cause, and coincidence can easily make an innocent food look responsible.
Nothing in the app replaces advice from a doctor or a registered dietitian. Please do not treat it as a reason to avoid whole food groups long-term; unnecessarily restrictive diets carry their own risks.
Because Shiyin collects no data at all, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Health data is a special category of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR and deserves particular care. That is precisely why Shiyin keeps it on your device: we do not receive, store, or process any of the data you record in the app, so there is nothing on our side to access, rectify, erase, or port. Your records stay under your own control, and you can delete them within the app or by deleting the app.
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep such correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. In respect of that correspondence you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for our location this is Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen.
If the app's functionality changes in a way that affects privacy — for example if optional iCloud sync is added — this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and the change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Any future data feature would be optional and clearly explained before you choose to use it.

如果你创建排查计划或开启提醒，应用会在你的设备上安排本地通知。这些通知完全在设备上生成，不涉及任何服务器，不会向我们或任何第三方发送数据。你可以随时在应用内或设备的系统设置中关闭。
食因不使用任何第三方服务。没有数据分析、没有广告、没有崩溃统计，也没有任何形式的外部软件开发工具包（SDK）。应用中没有任何东西会追踪你的行为或向外部公司发送信息。
食因是一个记录工具。它不诊断、不治疗、不治愈也不预防任何疾病，不提供医疗或用药建议。它呈现的规律，是你自己记录中的统计关联——关联不等于因果，巧合完全可能让无辜的食物看起来像元凶。
应用中的任何内容都不能替代医生或注册营养师的意见。也请不要仅凭这些提示就长期回避整类食物，过度忌口本身就有风险。
由于食因完全不收集任何数据，因此不会在知情的情况下收集包括儿童在内的任何人的信息。

如果你通过邮件与我们联系，我们会为了回复你而处理你的邮箱地址与邮件内容（依据 GDPR 第 6 条第 1 款 b 项与 f 项）。此类往来邮件仅保留至处理完你的问询为止。就该邮件往来，你享有访问、更正、删除、限制处理与数据可携带的权利，并有权提出异议。你也有权向监管机构投诉；就我们所在地而言，对应机构为下萨克森州数据保护专员（Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen）。
